The US Justice department announced today that it would approve Delta's purchase of Northwest paving way for the merger to go forward. Now, we just need to sit back and wait to see the new Delta realize those $2 billion in synergies.

Took AA a little while but they're finally ditching 500-mile accrual minimums for short flights for non-elite members. Sorry to all those frequent ORD-MKE flyers, you'll only be earning 67 miles from now on.

Not everyone out there is a preferred member of Star Alliance and thus when you are flying with United you are stuck in the regular economy product.
