Farewell JetBlue T4

October 22, 2008 – 9:02 pm

I feel a small obligation to bid farewell to the Old JetBlue Terminal 4. It was a cramped, dismal place that was, by most definitions, unpleasant.  The free wi-fi helped and the addition of the auxiliary terminal alleviated a bit of the cramping.  Aside from that, there were hardly enough seats, gates poured into bathroom lines which crowded the dining area.  The exit lane for cars was often reduced to one lane and the cab line was always longer than necessary.  In other words, it was just too small.  The only advantage came for non-revs jumping cities. I once got bumped off the flight to Phoenix and was able to run across the terminal to get on the flight to Tucson in about a minute. That won’t be possible now, but everyone will be much happier.

So, welcome T5.
