Discover America Daily Giveaways is starting back up on April 11th. The way it works is a limited number of discounted travel deals will be sold starting at noon EST each day over 5 weeks. These deals range from hotel points/vouchers to amusement park passes. Currently only week 1 and 2 deals have been posted (which I have posted below). Many of these deals will go fast, within minutes, so make sure to act quickly.

Few personal favorites:

Hyatt – although it states a free night hotel room for a certain price during their daily deal on Friday, April 15, they are really selling points at a discounted price. There are four different options for purchase, which can then be redeemed at Hyatt Hotels worldwide (pending award night availability). You are restricted to only purchasing 1 package per deal, but can purchase more than one deal.

  • 24,000 Gold Passport points for $250 (purchase price of 1 cent/point)
  • 30,000 Gold Passport points for $333 (purchase price of 1.1 cents/point)
  • 36,000 Gold Passport points for $415 (purchase price of 1.1 cents/point)
  • 69,000 Gold Passport points for $778 (purchase price of 1.1 cents/point)

Currently purchasing Hyatt points cost 2.4 cents/point, with a cap of 40,000 points a year, so this deal is less than half the cost! To redeem points at a top-notch hotel will run you 22,000 points (cat 6). For example, a room at the Park Hyatt Vendome in Paris will cost at least $900/night – however, you can purchase 24,000 points at $250, or a higher point package if staying multiple nights. Another example, is the Park Hyatt Buenos Aries (cat 5 – 18,000 points/night) cost about $500/night, but can purchase points for much less. Remember – when using points you cannot earn points or receive nights/stays towards status.

Radisson Hotel - On Thursday, April 21st you can purchase a 1 night Radisson Hotel voucher to be used at any of their hotels in the US for $89. While I am particularly not a fan of the Radisson Hotel chain, this is a great redemption in NYC. NYC hotels are at least $250/night on off-peak times, and in a big city you are never in your hotel room anyways. You can purchase 3 of these 1 night stay vouchers to be used anytime, excluding blackout dates which are subject to hotel’s availability. These vouchers have no expiration date also.
