American Airlines is giving away free AAdvantage miles again through their fortune cookie promotion. To celebrate their expanding service to/from LAX, they are giving away 25,000 AAdvantage miles to 10 lucky winners. Most people participating in the promotion, however, will win 0, 200, 500, or 1,000 miles – better than nothing!

Click the “Don’t have a code link” to automatically generate a promotion code. Each email address can only be used once (and does not have to be linked to the AAdvantage number account). If your fortune comes back winning nothing, try again with another email address – or if you get greedy and want more, keep on trying using many email addresses. For me it took 3 tries to get the 500 miles offer – with a little bit of effort you will get something! Once you are satisfied with your offer, you then enter your Advantage number.

Although the promotion goes until May 29th, there are limited number of prizes being given away — 10 Grand Prize Winners (25,000 miles); 5,000 First Prize Winners (1,000 miles); 15,000 Second Prize Winners (500 miles); 80,000 Third Prize Winners (200 miles) — for a total of 100,010 winners.

I stopped at 500 miles – not too bad for about 30 seconds worth of work!
