Double Miles on AA and Iberia Madrid to Chicago/NYC/Dallas
Posted by dealswelike on April 6, 2012 | 6 Comments
American just announced a new promotion where starting April 5th through May 31st, you will receive double miles on all flights to/from Madrid and:
- Chicago (ORD)
- New York (JFK)
- Dallas (DFW).
Your flight from Madrid to these select cities must be direct, however, if one of those cities are not your final destination, the leg between Madrid and ORD/JFK/DFW will still count as double.
For example, an itinerary from JFK to Madrid via London will not get you the double miles, however, a flight from Boston to Madrid via JFK will.
This actually comes in PERFECT timing for me as I’ll be taking the Madrid – JFK route within the next week!
You must register prior to traveling (promotion code: MAD2X)

My understanding is this is double RDM, not EQM…correct?

Scratch that…second read through T&C confirmed…
Bonus miles do not count toward elite status qualification or Million Miler status. Double miles will be calculated at 100% of the base miles earned.

@IPBrian – Unfortunately not EQMs. That would have been amazing though!

I know…right! I might have joined you on that flight!
