Buy Priority Club Reward Points for $.006/each – Still Available

This morning I speculated that the Daily Getaway promotion of purchasing Priority Club points at 6 cents a piece would sell out within seconds. Well thankfully, I was wrong. While I did not purchase any points, I did check in at 1pm EST on the dot to see if the offer was available and how quickly they would sell out. At one point I received a notice that “All offers are in other people’s carts” or something to that affect. This means that there is no more availability and chances are the offer is selling out soon. However, many people go to purchase the offer and realize they do not want it, or something goes wrong, etc. and after the 6 minutes grace period they have are timed out. The availability that they pulled out then goes back into the pool for someone else to purchase. So lesson learned, keep on pressing that “Buy” button and you might get lucky.

So an hour and 15 minutes later and all 4 offers are still available. You can read more about it in my post from this morning as well.

Dead as a doornail. Absolutely clueless execution on this one by Priority Club and Daily Getaways. If you’re not a Priority Club member you have to sign up and the link to the page they provide doesn’t work (after you waste 3 minutes filling out the application). Had to go to Priority Club and use the standard method to actually sign up. Then when you actually go to buy the points it’s sold out but they don’t tell you this up front, just throw up a message at the very end that something is broken.

I would not recommend buying if it’s really $0.06 per point. I don’t think anyone would.

@HikerT. Sounds like somebody over there dropped the ball.

Hopefully this will be the only hiccup we see over the course of this promo but for some reason I am not optimistic about that.

Decimal confusion is why I prefer to talk about points in cost per 1,000 points. $6.00 per 1,000 points.

I had the chance to purchase and made it to the page to enter the address. It only takes US addresses so I timed out and let it go. I see it wasn’t SUCH a good deal, but when will they have promotions for others besides those in the states?
