Like many other Tuesdays, Southwest, AirTran, and JetBlue have announced a new sale. I took a quick look through some of the flight costs and nothing looked particularly outstanding to me, but you might have better luck. If you have upcoming travel you are looking to book, it is worth checking it out. Or, if you’ve already booked with these airlines see if your fare price has gone down. If so, all three airlines will give you a credit back for the difference in price if you call and request it.

Southwest Sale

Fares starting at $69 one-way for travel August 24 – February 13 (blackout dates: November 16 – November 21, November 23 – November 26, December 20 – Dec. You must book by this Friday, August 24th.

This sale excludes Sundays and the T&C says it is not valid to/from the following cities: Dayton, Ohio; Washington, D.C. (Dulles); Washington, D.C. (Reagan National); Key West, FL; Ft. Myers, FL; West Palm Beach, FL; and Des Moines, IA. However, if you are looking for those cities, I’d still check.

AirTran Sale

Fares starting at $69 one-way. The terms are similar to that of Southwest for flights August 24 – February 13 and must be booked by this Friday, August 24th. Blackout dates are the same and Sundays are still excluded.

Additionally, the following cities will no longer be operated by AirTran: Seattle, WA (starting 9/3), Des Moines, IA (starting 9/29), Key West, FL (starting 11/3), and Phoenix, AZ (starting 1/4)

JetBlue Sale

Fares are starting at $59 one-way. However, no where does it state any of the other terms and the search engine for finding the applicable fares does not seem to be working.
