16% Cash Back for Priority Club / InterContinental Hotels Group
Posted by dealswelike on August 16, 2012 | 17 Comments
UPDATE: The Website Be Frugal has actually updated this cash back amount to 16%! This is a limited time offer ending August 31st. You must book your hotel by this date, you do not actually need to stay by this date.
For starters, Priority Club hotels include: InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn, Staybridge Suites, and Candlewood Suites.
Through another cash back site, BeFrugal, if you book your stay through their online shopping portal you will receive 10% cash back on your hotel stay. Now, I actually have never used this cash back site, so I cannot comment on them, but I have read good things. They currently have the highest cash back percentage for Priority Club hotels, so I thought it was worth mentioning.
- This cash back is only valid until August 31, 2012. After that my assumption is that it will go back down to 5% cash back.
- As long as you book your stay by the end of the month, you will get the 10% cash back even if your stay is post August 31st.
- You can only cash out of your BeFrugal account once you have $25 available (for those who created an account prior to 12/31/11 you can cash out at $20).
- Once you cash out you can receive the cash back by check our PayPal
- BeFrugal has a refer a friend program, where if you refer 3 or more friends you can earn a $10 bonus for each friend who joins and spends $25+; or if you refer 1-2 friends who meet the $25+ spending terms, you will earn a $5 bonus. Here is my referral link, but feel free to post your own as well.
There is absolutely no reason not to go through this cash back site and reduce the cost of your hotel stay. This 10% cash back promotion combined with some of the other bonus point promotions run by Priority Club can really make for a great deal!

But isn’t it also true that if you book your stay at any site other than the priority club properties you will not earn PC points?

10% is NOT the best cash back at Intercontinental. MrRebates, ShopAtHome, ExtraBux & BargainMatch all offer 15% cash back. When you make a post without doing your research you lead us to believe you are solely in it for the refer a friend money.

@Shane – Thanks for the comment and I totally understand. I am absolutely not in it for the refer a friend money and I’d strongly suggest others to put their links in the comments and for readers to use those links. Thanks for letting me know about the other cash back sites. I did check Mr. Rebates last week, I thought at least, and do not remember it being 15%, but thats great to know! I am not aware of ShopAtHome, ExtraBux, and BargainMatch, so I do appreciate you pointing those out to me.

@Winston – I am not sure what you mean by that.

@Winston – You can still book through the IHG sites so that you will earn the PC points. Just start from the cashback site and follow their link to the PC site.

This is funny timing- Last night I clicked through Mr Rebates to book a Crowne Plaza stay. As the post says, combining 15% cash back with other PC promos makes for a very good deal. The $75 rebate after a two-night weekend stay before September 3 is great.
Mr Rebates also offers a sign up bonus of $7.50. My link: http://www.mrrebates.com?refid=644777
I have used Mr Rebates a few times. The site design is not as sexy as some of its competitors, but it works fine.

Can someone help? I dont know how befrugal.com works. I’m staying at an ICH in about 10 days…

@louis- Start at BeFrugal.com or Mrrebates.com and sign up for an account, this is quick and easy. Then search for InterContinental or IHG. The website will give you some info on the deals. Click the “Shop Now” button and you will be taken directly to InterContinental’s website. You will then make your reservation on this site as you would have normally. It is all tracked on the back end that you were referred through one of these two cash back sites.
