Happy Friday!!!
Hope you all had a great week and were able to get on some deals and promotions. As you are well aware by now, every Friday I do a weekly recap post to ensure that you do not miss out on anything from the past 7 days. The following pages also serve as your one-stop-shop to keep up to date on all the deals and promotions available. You do not want to miss any of this!
- Promotions - The most up to date credit card, hotel, airline, and car rental promotions
- Credit Cards - A list of my top credit cards for free travel
- Free Money - Compiled list of the American Express sync promotions where you will receive a statement credit at many merchants
Weekly Reminders
- You can get $500 of free stuff and make $60 on top of that. Or spend $500 and get 35,000 United miles. Take a look at the post from earlier today about purchasing items on OpenSky through the online shopping portal MyPoints.
- Purchase an airport transportation voucher for San Francisco and New York (EWR and JFK). San Fran is $29 one way while Newark and JFK are $39 one way. Both are ridiculously cheap for airport transportation (although not as cheap as public transportation!). When I initially announced it a few days ago, the EWR and JFK option were sold out, but it looks like it is not back and available for purchase. Unfortunately, the LGA option is now sold out.
- You have until Monday October 1st to essentially get about 40% off your Bloomingdales purchase! This is utilizing the Friends & Family 20% off promotion that expires Monday.
- American Airline is offering an insane number of bonus points on every transatlantic flight you take from the US or Canada to Europe. This is only good for flights in expensive economy class fares, business, and first.
- If you are new to the Hilton program, or looking to learn more, make sure to take a look at the current series highlighting the Hilton HHonors program.
- This Sunday is the last day you can redeem your Club Carlson points for 50% off at participating hotels in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Use promotional code “50REDEEM”.
- This Sunday is the last to purchase US Airways miles for a 100% bonus. You can purchase up to 50,000 miles for a total of 100,000 miles. Purchase miles here.
Ways to keep up with Deals We Like alerts and posts:
- Deal Alert text messages: Once in awhile amazing fares come available that you do not want to miss. These are typically, “Act Now” fares or one day only sales. Just this pass week, text messages were sent out for incredibly cheap fares to Costa Rica and Hawaii. Let’s hope for some more great deals! You can read this prior post to learn how to sign up.
- Social Media: You can follow me on Twitter or Facebook. For those that already follow me, you are probably aware that I am much more active on Twitter, but I am trying to have more of a presence on Facebook as well. This will help you communicate with me, ask me questions, and find out on the latest blog posts, deal alerts, etc.
- Daily Emails: Subscribe to this site to receive 1 email around 6-7pm EST of all posts from the day. On the right-hand column of the site, you can enter your email address to subscribe. You will then have to verify your subscription through an automated email.
Enjoy the weekend and safe travels!

Being my focus of AA miles, your thoughts on AMEX Premier Rewards, which transfers to SPG, which then transfers to AA. thx.
