Avis is offering a great promotion where you will get 1,000 Hyatt points on a qualifying rental of 2+ more days at participating locations in the US, Canada, Mexico, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand.

While there are always various promotions going on with car rentals by earning bonus partner points, 1,000 Hyatt points is definitely a good one to keep in mind. I’d value 1,000 Hyatt points at a conservative $20 value, but many will put a much higher value to each point (this values them at 2 cents/point). The one caveat is that this offer is the total number of points you’ll earn, it is actually 700 points for the bonus and 300 points for your everyday point earnining per rental.

While this offer isn’t good enough to rent for the sole fact of earning points, if Avis provides to be the cheaper value and you can get 1,000 Hyatt points, why not. Remember though, Avis only allows 1 coupon code per rental, so if you are able to find a code that gives you a free day, valued at let’s say $30, then that is more worth it than getting the Hyatt points. You can still earn the base 300 Hyatt points anyways.

Make sure to use coupon code MUHA067 when making your reservation or give it to them upon picking up the car. You can also use AWD # K817700 to get up to a 25% savings with your Avis rental. Many other codes (corporate, AAA, Costco, etc.)  might provide you with a better rates instead. You do not need to use the two codes together, they can be used serperately depending on what provides you with the best rate/bonus. Promotion ends December 31, 2013.
