Today only, Southwest Airlines is offering $100 fares or less for travel on February 14th – Valentines Day. This is a decent offer as Valentines Day falls on a Thursday this year, so a more frequented travel day than a Tuesday or Wednesday lets say. No discount code is needed and the sale price will display as is. Unfortunately this is valid for non-stop flights only, which might limit many.

Now, before some of you run to check on a price, I will state that I checked many common routes (primarily from the Northeast) and didn’t find too many $100 fares. Since this is right before the Presidents Day holiday (2/18), the prices are already extremely inflated and the direct flights from the NY/CT/MA/NH/RI area to vacation destinations are not showing anywhere near a $100 rate. If you are looking to fly this day or already have an already scheduled flight, I still suggest checking the price to see if it has been discounted (and if you’ve already purchased, get a credit or your points back for the difference).

You must purchase your airfare by 11:59pm PST tonight, January 11.

Anyone find anything worthwhile?

They are currently having technical difficulties with the $100 click n’ save offer and hope to have it available this afternoon. Oh well…

The nonstops out of BWI to their usually-more-expensive cities like LIT/JAN/BHM are all 100$
