OK, now that that is out of way I can get on with today’s post. Knowledge is power when it comes to travel. With DELTA rules are always changing and that can drive you kinda nuts! Also, all the rules can be over ridden by anyone who can push the “big red candy like button” as “Ren and Simppy” would say.

Now why do I bring this up. Well my mom does get a bonus for being 80+ and having requested a wheelchair. The DELTA rules say a minimum connection time is 30 min domestic and 90 for an international gateway. This is UNLESS you are in a wheelchair. In that case you must ADD 30 minutes to those totals.

So, if you are in need of wheelchair assistance, you get even more time to help out with your schedule change rule. The next time someone tells you to “break a leg”, maybe it can help you in some small way. Who knows, you may even be better by the time you fly and not end up needing the wheel chair assistance by the time you fly. If that is the case be sure to call and cancel the request for that at least 1 week before your trip!
