Just a short post today as I am returning from my Florida golf trip and will have much to post in the coming week with information and giveaways you will not want to miss. Also, there seems to have been another server issue at BoardingArea as the Friday post was re-posted again on Saturday and the Saturday post was posted with Fridays date. So, if you missed Saturday, go back a day and you will see it.
For now, if you have not logged in to your SKYMILES account as of late, please be sure and do so as it would seem that the medallion qualifying rollover has occurred for almost everyone at this point. Either way, you can be 100% assured that if you were any level of medallion in 2011 and flew a single mile over 25, 50, 75 or 125k you now have them applied towards your re-qualification levels for 2012.
If you are looking for ways to build up your accounts be sure to peak at the post from the first of the year for how to add as much 20k in no time. – Rene
(NOTE -if you have not got eBates credit yet for your $25 spend at restaurant.com from last months promo please, email them here your info so you do not miss out! They will give you immediate credit)

Interesting note for others – I achieved Gold status last year because of one Delta’s targeted challenges (fly two round-trips in the next two months, we will make you Gold). I ended up with enough MQM’s in 2011 to put me about halfway between Silver and Gold on my own, but I’m guessing because they comp’ed me Gold as part of the challenge, none of those extra miles above Silver (but below Gold) rolled over. Not that I am complaining. I’d obviously rather have comp’ed Gold than be Silver with miles towards Silver next year. Just leaving a note for others who read the blog.
Hi Danny – txs ever so much for the info! – Rene
Quick question. I was SM last year, expiring Feb 2012 (next mont). I flew over 20k miles last year, and was told by Delta they would roll over and apply to medallion status this year. Either my miles haven’t rolled over yet or I was told wrong. Any idea?
Daniel….sorry, but they gave you wrong info
@ Daniel – Wes is right this time if we both understand you ( we may be wrong ). If you ONLY earned 20k MQM you get ZERO this year rollover. If you flew 45k (25k+20k) you would then rollover 20k and start the year with 20k. Thanks – Rene
Danny
Rollover is anything over attained status, not gifted status. You SHOULD get the miles between SM ad GM rolled over, as the GM was a gift. You earned >25k miles that that should rollover.
