There are a couple film makers who are using Kickstarter.com to raise funds for a movie about TSA.

They are trying to raise $8,500 by May 13th.

Short Synopsis:Jack is a TSA agent. He doesn’t know which he hates more; his job or his personal life. But when the TSA institutes a new policy that turns passengers into zombies (as another option to full body scan or grope), Jack knows things have to change.

After he gets fired for taking a stand, Jack finds a mysterious prototype TSA security wand that turns his life upside down.  Armed with the wand and a new determination, he sets out to make a difference.

I am backing this project (but other than the publicity I get from contributing to Kickstarter I have no other ties to this).  If you would also like to help please contribute.

I have finally made the plunge and booked an appointment for a consultation for corrective surgery.  I wear the Acuvue Oasys contacts and for the most part my eyes stay pretty good on the plane.  Back when I wore Acuvue 2s I would often get dry eyes after a flight over a couple hours.

If you have had LASIK or any other vision correction how do you feel during a long flight?  I understand some people get really dry eyes after laser vision correction.  Most people I have talked to would do LASIK again in a heart beat, but they don’t spend as much time in airplanes as I do.

I’m not sure exactly what I did, and I don’t really believe in karma, but some how mine is all messed up!

Yesterday I left my laptop charger at a super secure building and I didn’t realize it until 6 pm when my battery died and I still had work I needed to finish including a paper.  I went to the closest office supply store and swiped my credit card.  The transaction didn’t go through…the terminal froze up.  Eventually the cashier had to run a manual authorization.  If I didn’t had work to do I would have said screw it and left.

Then today the gate on the toll booth didn’t work so I held up the line on FL417 for around 10 minutes until someone came out and just took the arm off.

I’ve even tried to be positive and complimentary to people.  I’ve even started acknowledging TSOs and then this starts.

I guess I need to step up the positivity even more.

Froyo finally landed for the intercept. The official OTA update is supposed to be rolled out this week, but I was too excited to wait so I found this thread and downloaded the official update.

Some of the 2.2 stuff doesn’t seem there, but I’ll poke around some more.

Hopefully this will finally open the flood gate for more US card providers to issue chip pin cards.

Today, Wells Fargo said it would test credit cards this year with the newer technology, known as E.M.V., with about 15,000 American-based but globetrotting customers.

If you use Wells Fargo and have frequent international travel usage on that card see if you get an invite.

Every time I see someone placing a bag that does not close into an overhead I shudder.  Today my fears (well, someone else’s actually) were realized.  As I was waiting to deplane someone opened the overhead in front of me an a laptop fell out.  The person behind it reacted quickly and saved the laptop, but that could have been a bad situation for the owner.

Zip your bags when they go into an overhead.  Be careful when placing bags without zippers or buttons in the overhead.
