Steven Frischling, aka: Fish, is globe hopping professional photographer, airline emerging media consultant working with large global airlines and founder of The Travel Strategist. Fish has racked up more than 1,000,000 miles since he started to track his mileage in 2005.

Fish's travel tends to be less than leisurely, including flying from New York to Basrah, Iraq, for six hours; Hong Kong for eight hours, Kuwait City for two hours and traveling around the world in 3.5 days to shoot a series of photo assignments in 4 cities and 4 countries on 3 separate continents.

Fish grew up at the end of New York's JFK International Airport's Runway 4R/22L, which probably explains his enjoyment of watching planes, fly overhead. When not shooting photos or traveling Fish designs camera bags, hones is expertise on airline security and spends his time at home cheering for the Red Sox with his 3 kids 102 yards from the ocean.

Wind, Waves & Snow Delays and How YOU Can Help

Folks, following the past few weeks of severe weather causing all sorts of havoc in my region, starting with Hurricane Sandy and finishing up with Winter Storm Athena,  I’m working to get Flying With Fish back on track.  Lack of power and direct access to the internet makes writing a blog a bit of a challenge … especially while chasing three kids around.

For those of you who have been impacted by the One-Two-Punch of the recent weather in the Northeast of the United States, I hope your power is back on and that you are warm and safe. If your home has been damaged and you’re still without power, my thoughts are with you.

If you are in a position to help those directly in need, look up the NYC*EMS BlackSheep Disaster Relief group on Facebook.   The BlackSheep are current and former members of New York City’s Emergency Medical Service, now FDNY’s Bureau of EMS . These trained rescuers, many of whom have been directly impacted by Hurricane Sandy, who are doing all that they can to assist others that are in dire need following Hurricane Sandy. Anything you can do to help The BlackSheep goes right to those in need. No middle man, no bureaucracy, no red tape … so look them up, reach out to them and see how you can help them do what they do best … help others.

You can make donations through WorkingSaintsUSA.org. When making donations through PayPal ensure that you write in “Blacksheep Relief Effort” in the special instructions area for the funds to go directly to relief efforts in New York.

Below are photos I shot in my town after Hurricane Sandy paid us a visit … and we came though the storms far better than many others.

Happy Flying!
