Steven Frischling, aka: Fish, is globe hopping professional photographer, airline emerging media consultant working with large global airlines and founder of The Travel Strategist. Fish has racked up more than 1,000,000 miles since he started to track his mileage in 2005.

Fish's travel tends to be less than leisurely, including flying from New York to Basrah, Iraq, for six hours; Hong Kong for eight hours, Kuwait City for two hours and traveling around the world in 3.5 days to shoot a series of photo assignments in 4 cities and 4 countries on 3 separate continents.

Fish grew up at the end of New York's JFK International Airport's Runway 4R/22L, which probably explains his enjoyment of watching planes, fly overhead. When not shooting photos or traveling Fish designs camera bags, hones is expertise on airline security and spends his time at home cheering for the Red Sox with his 3 kids 102 yards from the ocean.

Nearly a month ago I wrote about the Griffin Technologies PowerBlock Dual USB Charger as a travel essential … shortly after the entry went up on Flying With Fish the folks at Flight Wisdom wanted to know why I had not instead written about the Belkin Mini Surge Protector With USB Charger.
Well, the folks who [...]

8/2/2010 – Travel Essentials – Griffin Technologies PowerBlock Dual USB Charger
When I pack my bag saving space is a high priority. When I travel one city over or twelve time-zones away I pack the same way, the smallest possible bag to carry the maximum amount of essentials.
When it comes to packing my electronics essentials, which [...]

iPhone App of the Week : Southwest Airlines

4/2/2010 – iPhone App of the Week : Southwest Airlines
Airline created iPhone Apps are often run-of-the-mill. A few stand out among the Apps I have written about on Flying With Fish and I have skipped over countless Apps that I have felt offered virtually no benefit to users. This week’s iPhone App of the Week [...]

Have you ever boarded a flight from New York to Paris and wished you could watch the entire Jason Bourne Trilogy of movies on your laptop … ummm … I mean do you wish you could work from wheels up to wheels down on the flight?
While I [...]

iPhone App Of The Week : PreFlight

24/12/2009 – iPhone App Of The Week : PreFlight

What is the Number 1 travel question I get from my Mom? “Is there a delay?”

OK granted, my Mom is probably not the primary readership of Flying With Fish, she certainly isn’t the target audience of Flying With Fish and my Mom does not have [...]

iPhone App Of The Week : News Feed Elite

17/12/2009 – iPhone App Of The Week : News Feed Elite
Waking up in the morning, sitting at the gate, stuck on a delayed train; standing in line for a donut I tend to do one thing, read the news. One of the first Apps downloaded to my iPhone was from the Associated Press, and it [...]
