Steven Frischling, aka: Fish, is globe hopping professional photographer, airline emerging media consultant working with large global airlines and founder of The Travel Strategist. Fish has racked up more than 1,000,000 miles since he started to track his mileage in 2005.

Fish's travel tends to be less than leisurely, including flying from New York to Basrah, Iraq, for six hours; Hong Kong for eight hours, Kuwait City for two hours and traveling around the world in 3.5 days to shoot a series of photo assignments in 4 cities and 4 countries on 3 separate continents.

Fish grew up at the end of New York's JFK International Airport's Runway 4R/22L, which probably explains his enjoyment of watching planes, fly overhead. When not shooting photos or traveling Fish designs camera bags, hones is expertise on airline security and spends his time at home cheering for the Red Sox with his 3 kids 102 yards from the ocean.

This week’s reader mail comes from Annette up in Canada. Annette asks “What’s the difference between a code share and interline agreement between airlines?” Annette, in fact, a code-share and an interline agreement are quite different. I can go into depth, but that really doesn’t help travelers all that much … so I’ll stick with [...]

Alitala Tops Among European Airlines For On-Time Performance

Alitalia, Italy’s National Flag Carrier, has been called many things over the years, but ‘On Time‘ has never been one of those things. Alitala is well known for labour disputes, strikes, customer dissatisfaction and an on-time performance record that generally rivals my attempts to wake my kids up most mornings … so imagine my surprise [...]

25/12/2009 – A Red & Blue DC-10 Arrived Wrapped In UPS Brown Its Christmas Day, and while today might not be ‘my holiday,’ it seems like a good time to write about what I received this year, just before starting work on KLM’s Blog…considering I only had one item on my Holiday Gift List, which [...]

Free Custom Luggage Tags from KLM

22/12/2009 – Free Custom Luggage Tags from KLM While I am working with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines to build their blog I do not plan on producing much day-to-day cross over posts. I’d like to keep the content separate…however how can I resist cross posting the free luggage tag offer? If you travel you probably [...]
