After a refreshing sleep and shower at the transit hotel, I had about four hours before my flight and spent the majority of it in Asiana’s Business Class Lounge.

It’s spacious with plenty of comfortable seating areas and a piano graces the center of the lounge.

The dark wood fixtures with books, newspapers and magazines gave it a library-like feel.

Down a narrow hallway, four shower rooms were available on one side with massage chair rooms on the other. I am once again a bad blogger and didn’t check out a shower room given I had just taken one at the transit hotel.

Planespotters will be happy with this lounge as there are a couple of areas lined with windows facing the tarmac.

Lounge agents were abundant and always walked by with a smile. The buffet section was just okay… nothing particularly stellar about it. Soups, noodles, veggies, cheese, crackers, toast and other items were available along with a well-stocked beverage section.

I had chicken porridge soup with a Korean coke that in my opinion is flatter than what we’re used to here in the U.S.

Not pictured is a large and separate business center lined with computers and a printer. Converters were available at the front desk and I plugged in to catch up on emails. Very few outlets were found in the main part of the lounge, which is a major complaint. I saw numerous people hunting for those few that existed along the wall.

It’s a nice lounge, but nothing is special enough about it to rush to the airport to have ample time to experience. I have a feeling I’ll be flying Asiana again and hope next time I’ll be departing Seoul in First Class so I can check out Asiana’s better lounge offering at ICN.

    is the sq lounge better?

  2. Darren says:

I’ll vote no since it (the HKG one) doesn’t have restrooms, showers, massage chairs, a view, etc. The SQ lounge (in HKG) wins in the food category, but OZ’s offering here at ICN is overall a better experience.

  3. Michael says:

Everytime I’m in the lounge all of the massage chairs are completely full!

  4. Darren says:

When I went back to actually use one, all the rooms were filled. Should’ve just snapped that picture and sat down.

Nice report. I am waiting to see your ICN-LAX business class report… Hope it’s their new biz seat? I am going to take LAX-ICN in March but there are very few reports on their new biz class seat.

  6. Darren says:

Thanks & I’ll give you a spoiler alert: I had the old biz angled flat seats on my ICN-LAX flight.

  7. Business Class Tickets says:

Despite the cons that you mention, I would rather fly business class any old day rather than fly coach and be herded like cattle!

  8. Darren says:

The worst business class seat > any economy seat anyday!
