This installment of Vintage Airline Seat Maps brings you a Piedmont Airlines F28 Fellowship seen flying the skies in the 1980s. The Dutch manufacturer is no long in business, but there are several of these still flying if Wikipedia is correct.
This aircraft seated a total of 65 passengers in a single-class configuration with a solo lavatory in the rear, not unlike many of the RJs and ERJs flying today.
While I never flew on this version, I rode on a slew of American’s stretched F-100s every week in the late 1990s when I was on a consulting project. She’s a noisy little bird, especially aft of the wing.
For legroom, you’d find me in 1C. Otherwise, I’m certain I’d be in a window forward of the wing.

Awesome. Piedmont eventually installed 8 first class seats in their F100s. When then US Air took over Piedmont, they reduced F to 1 row of 4 seats.
Worked it…. loved it!! …and the F28-4000 too — with a few more seats
We actually sat attached to the rear wall between the closet and the lav, and on the front bulkhead wall right side, facing the cockpit. We had a big mirror that we could see everyone misbehaving in! LOL Those of us with Piedmont Airlines loved our job and loved our company….and our passengers!!
