The BMI route network is being slowly absorbed into the happy British Airways network.
The following routes are up for changes, with BMI flight codes (BD) switching to British Airways flight codes (BA)
From 27th June 2012
If you’re affected by these changes you will be contacted directly.
From 4th July 2012
- Beirut (BD996 and BD997 will operate as BMI Codes for now)
Customers affected by these changes will be contacted directly from 11 June.
Already routes to Agadir, Basel, Bergen, Casablanca, Hanover, Marrakech, Nice, Stavanger and Vienna have switched to British Airways flight codes, and are operated as British Airways policies.
Check-in for flights on these routes and any new bookings will be handled on the British Airways web site.
British Airways is slowly transferring the BMI fleet over to BA Mainline, with aircraft going in the following order:
- Airbus A319′s
- Airbus A320′s
- Airbus A321′s
The first A319′s have already left the paint shop – the very first aircraft was painted into the British Airways Olympic “Dove” livery.
Expect the BMI Blue and White Whale colour scheme disappear from the runways slowly towards the end of the Summer timetable…
