Emirates Dubai – London service switch to A380′s… completely!

Well it’s taken long enough for Emriates, but it seems they now have enough of an A380 fleet to take Dubai to London Heathrow to A380 aircraft only. 

There are a few changes here, so pay attention.

• The 4th Daily Service (the planned EK007/EK008) trip has been shifted from 1st Feb 2013 to 28th October 2012. This rotation which was going to be a Boeing 777-300ER has been switched to an Airbus A380.
• The last outstanding Boeing 777-300ER rotation – Flights EK029/EK030 will switch to an Airbus A380 from 1st February 2013, marking the total switch-over of Emirates  traffic to London operating with A380′s only.

That’s a massive change, with Emirates laying on 2585 seats a day on this segment ALONE. Even adding the 5th service early increases capacity by 517 seats a day from the usual 1400 or so a day.

Even then – it’s an awful lot of seats to fill.
