In the dim and distant past when my weekly Airplane Art section was known as Airpane p**n (yes, I’m self censoring myself… no, don’t look at me like that). And I thought I was doing OK.

Then Bloomberg comes out with this (c/o The Huffington Post)

Is this a change we like?

Hot 737 on 737 action there! (Even if the “old” United had given up running Classic 737′s for a year or so).

So Punchline time kids. Winner gets.. nothing, but come on… lets have some fun with this ;)

It’s Sunday again, and to celebrate the oncoming rescue of BMI Baby, it’s a BMI Baby Boeing 737-300 sitting at George Best Belfast City Airport in the late evening.

More airplane art of course next week!

It’s Sunday so it must be time for some more airplane art. This week, we’re back to Denver – home of the Frontier Airlines animals, with Sal the Mountain Lion taxing out of Denver International Airport

More of course next week!

It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some airplane art.

Today it’s a SAS Airbus A330-300 parked up a Newark International Airport after completing its long journey from Oslo.

More Airplane art of course next week!

Well, this is the last of the week’s extension of Airplane art, time to something a little bit special at Air Canada’s morning hub – London Heathrow Airport T3.

The plane in the foreground is an Air Canada Airbus A319 (yes, an AC A319 at LHR) on tow after completing it’s leg from Newfoundland St Johns, with a pair of Air Canada Boeing 777-300ER’s in the background – and yours truly in another AC 777-300ER shooting this image.

Airplane art will return to it’s usual slot on Sunday Evening after it’s extended run!

Well when this posts it’ll be midnight in the United Kingdom and the New Year will be amongst us. The times on this server are bit behind that though ;) .

Today’s airplane art is two 747-400′s – A Lufthansa 747-400 in the foreground and a Qantas 747-400 in the background at Frankfurt-am-Main Airport.

LH 747-400 and QF 747-400 at FRA

The week and a bit extra of airplane art will be concluding on Monday before it shifts back to it’s usual Sunday slot (least of all, I’m having this nasty feeling I could well be beginning to scrape the barrel of what I have that’s reasonably new in the archive).

I’ll have to fix that in February ;)

Ok, it’s a bit late (as I snored most of last night), but here is yesterday’s Airplane art – A Lufthansa Airbus A330-300 taxing in at Frankfurt International Airport

More later today…

The week of Airplane art continues today with a Cathay Pacific Boeing 747-400 pushing back from London Heathrow Terminal 3, beginning the long journey back to Hong Kong.

More during the week, in what was meant to be a quiet week… that’s turned into one of the busiest I’ve had of posting!

It’s the 27th of December, and there is a little news out and about, but who cares. Images I’ve promised this week, and images you’ll get.

Today it’s a Brussels Airlines Avro Regional Jet RJ85 parked at London Heathrow

More again tomorrow!

It’s Sunday again, so it must be time for some airplane art.

This week, it’s more a panorama, but staring in it is a Frontier Airlines A319 featuring Flip the Dolphin at Denver International Airport (and I’d advise you zoom in to see some of the detail of the panorama – the main image sadly is a bit compressed to fit in the blog layout0

More of course next week!
