The Chase VIP mall lounges are back this holiday season in Houston, San Francisco, and Short Hills, NJ from now until December 24, 11:00 am – mall closing. Lounge access is granted to Chase United MileagePlus cardholders, and the following complimentary amenities are offered: snack and beverages, gift wrapping, bag and coat check, cafe seating, flat screen TVs, and wifi.

This is a cool way to take a break from shopping, and what’s even cooler is that you can receive 2 United Club passes when you bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate for Toys for Tots on Tuesdays.

I personally have not made it down to the Short Hills Mall (or any mall yet, honestly) to check out the lounge, but one of these days I’ll make it a point to stop in and peek around.

Has anyone checked out any of these lounges yet?

I visited the one in Short Hills a couple of times and they had a lot of staff to support the demand. Everyone was very helpful and they remembered me when I came back. Good selection of food and drinks (but no alcohol).

I was there last year and this set up is first class all the way; they wrap gifts perfectly; you can sit there for an hour and just eat and drink fresh baked cookies, fruit and cheese etc; great idea; helpfuly hint, don’t go during the weekends as its packed; pick off hours and relax

My girlfriend and I went last night to Westfield Mall in San Francisco, made a stop at the toy store, then headed over to the Chase VIP Lounge (conveniently located right across from the toy store). We each dropped off a toy, flashed our United MileagePlus Explorer cards, and walked out with FOUR United Club passes valid until 12/31/2013. Simple!

The lounge itself is very nice. Plenty of seating, complimentary gift wrapping, freshly baked cookies, a full assortment of Keurig coffees and teas, sodas, and bottled water. I only wish I had been a weary shopper, and in need of some respite – I may have stayed longer.

I’d encourage everyone to go pick up your passes while this deal lasts.
