This is downright the season of sales and promotions and one of those times which will really keep the frequent traveller very busy. After the Club Carlson giveaway which should debut very soon, it also seems that the Le’Club Accor, the renamed loyalty program of the Accor Hotels chain is also getting ready to announce a new promotion. Here is a little announcement that turned up on their Facebook page a short while back:

Like Gary at View From The Wing points out, it is pretty easy to get Platinum Status with this one, so get ready with the Platinum Status just incase you need to make a stay with them for getting some miles and bonus points!

I admit I don’t know too many enthusiasts of the Accor hotels, but they do have a good brand in Sofitel and Novotel hotels, and the Ibis chain on the mid-end. Since it is easy to get a status match on this program, I have been a Gold member of their program for a long while.

A|Club has now launched a new social app on Facebook, where it promises to give you bonus reward points if you signed up for it.

All you have to do is to Like A|Club on Facebook, get access to the A|Club Places App, and fill up your details to sync your app with FB. Once done, your check-in at Accor club hotels will get you bonus points. You also get to earn badges. As per Accor hotels:

These badges reward regularity, variety of destination, loyalty to one type of hotel, etc. Each badge enables members to earn A|Club points that can be redeemed as A|Club reward vouchers for use in Accor hotels, with partners, or converted into airline miles.

However, you’ll have to be physically presenting your membership card to the hotel and show your check-in for verification before you do get your hands on these loyalty points. So, if you are regularly to be found at an Accor hotel, this is your ticket to more mileage with the program.

Accor will soon refurbish it’s A|club loyalty program which covers high-end brands such as the Sofitel and the Novotel, and also the mid-tier brands such as the Ibis. The program will undergo a change to become the Le Club Accorhotels shortly.

However, in it’s current avatar, the A|Club is running a promo to award you double A|Club reward points every time you stay at one of the Accor properties between 10th October and 18 December. Since there has to be a catch, this time around, like the name suggests you have to book up this stay in advance till 15 November through one of Accor’s websites or phone numbers, and make sure you are around for a Friday, Saturday or Sunday as a part of your stay. Not exactly the hottest of promos, but you could spice it up with a free upgrade to Platinum tier using this promo link and perhaps earn 3 times the normal points!
