Jet Airways is back with a transfer bonus for you to transfer your credit card points to Jet Privilege miles. These offers were not usual from Jet Airways, but last year they offered a 25% bonus, which has gone down to 20% this year.

Between June 15, 2013 to July 15,2013 (both dates inclusive) you can transfer your credit card points to your Jet Privilege account, to get a 20% bonus if the points hit your JP account between this duration. The bonus miles will credit into you account within 10 days of the transfer being completed. The following cards qualify:
- India
- American Express
- Axis Bank
- Citibank
- HDFC Bank
- HSBC
- ICICI Bank
- IndusInd Bank
- Kotak Credit Cards
- Punjab National Bank
- SBI Card
- Standard Chartered Bank
- Tata Cards
- RBS
- UAE
- Citibank
- Standard Chartered Bank
- RBS
- Sri Lanka
Since the transfer is not instantaneous, and it takes a little longer for some banks such as HDFC Bank to transfer miles than American Express which will be usually a 24 hour process, you should look to transfer your miles early enough to get the bonuses.
My opinion: While American Express and Citibank points can usually be used with multiple transfer partners such as Cathay Pacific and British Airways, which may also give you better transfer bonuses at some point of time during the year, some other cards will not have too many transfer options, and hence you should redeem your points to JP miles if you intend to receive a transfer bonus.

Jet Airways has sent out emails to several members of the Jet Privilege program, where they are crediting 20% of the flown miles for the last 20 flights flown with Jet Airways/Jet Konnect between the period 05 May 1993 to 05 May 2013. The mileage credit is exclusive of cabin bonuses, tier bonuses or any other bonus, and has already been credited to some accounts, while some others have received the emails but not the bonus credited into their account. In case of my own family, I’ve received the credit into my account, while my mom has received the email but not the credit, and my brother and my dad have not even heard from Jet Airways. I intend to wait up a few days to see how this plays out, because Jet Airway’s does take a while implementing promotions across the board.

The interesting bit at the end is a clue of things to come:
Do look forward to many more such surprises as we continue with our celebrations through the year.
Enjoy the bonuses, and if they did not come your way, do write to jetprivilege@jetairways.comto make a formal request.
Tell me how many miles did you get in the comments section.

About a month and a half back, Jet Airways inducted two new Airbus 330-300s into their fleet, which have their new business class product, a departure from the herringbone design I so love, because of legal issues. And now, till April 30, 2013, they are offering a special promotion which offers a 200% bonus on the following routes for flying in their Premiere Class, over and above the 100% you’d earn regularly and the cabin bonus and your JetPrivilege tier bonuses:
- Delhi – Brussels or v.v.
- Delhi – Toronto or v.v.
- Delhi – Newark (via Brussels) or v.v.
- Mumbai – Newark or v.v.
- Mumbai – Toronto or v.v.
Some of these sectors look pretty sweet for earning as per this chart that was published by Jet Airways for this promotion, since one could earn over 50K JPMiles with one trip to their North American stations, with the stacking of the various mileage earnings on this one:

Tickets to avail this promotion could be booked via travel agents or on JetAirways.com but has to be ticketed on the following classes only: C,J,I, P, Z, and only on Jet Airways’ tickets. So, if you book this ticket as a part of a codeshare, you won’t get the bonuses.
More details can be found here.
Sweet promotion, except it does not cover the Mumbai-Brussels segment, so you can imagine a sad-panda face on this end!
