There is a new SPG Android app that earns 500 bonus points for bookings made for the current SPG Better by the Night promotion for double points on 1- and 2-night stays or triple points for stays 3 nights or more October 1 through December 20, 2012. Better by the Night Registration promotion is required by November 30.
Starwood Hotels 500 points booking bonus through the Google Android phones SPG app matches the SPG iPhone app booking bonus available since the Better by the Night promotion started October 1. The bonus points offer was posted yesterday by Starwood Lurker IV, company rep on FlyerTalk.
SPG members earn only 250 bonus points for reservations booked at SPG.com.
You can also earn 250 points for a FourSquare checkin while at the hotel and 3,000 Aeroplan miles for three nights in Starwood Hotels or 5,000 Aeroplan miles for 5 nights.
Apparently user reviews point out some bugs in the new SPG app, but I’ll suffer those glitches for 500 points a booking.

@Peter Tang – I have no idea. Usually promotion terms state 4 to 6 weeks. Usually promotion points post within days.
I completed 2 stays 2 weeks ago, the better by the night bonus posted 1 – 2 days after my stay but the iphone/4sq bonus didn’t post, should I call?
