Hotel Loyalty 2013-Q1 promotions IHG One Rewards InterContinental Hotels Group

(Deal Gone) Priority Club Rewards Deep Discounts: Act Flash

[Update: Deal Gone 10am EST 1-16] Priority Club is obviously adjusting their hotel award rates. There are hotels that were 35,000 and 40,000 points per award night available right now for 15,000 points.

I just booked five nights in InterContinental Hotel for $350 + 25,000 points. The published rates for these rooms was over $1,500. The standard reward rate for these hotels was 40,000 points per night before today.

Check out LoyaltyLobby.com for a list of hotel award discount rates compared to the pre-Jan 18 award rates John compiled last Friday. Also, check your destination city for hotels not on John’s list. I found some other hotels at deep discounts.

This is likely a glitch and possibly may not be honored, but I am cleaning out my Priority Club Rewards account 5,000 points per night at a time.

Looks like my $70 Ramada Inn for Los Angeles next week is now upgraded to Crowne Plaza Beverly Hills for $70 and 5,000 points.

InterContinental Toronto available Tuesday, January 15 at Standard Reward Night rate of 15,000 points. A drop from a Standard Reward Night rate of 40,000 points on Monday, January 14.

Follow-up post: Hot Deal for Priority Club Reward Nights gives detailed example of booking Crowne Plaza Key West with rates at $329 per night in Ferbuary 2013 for 5,000 points + $70 per night.

I have cleaned out my Priority Club Rewards account balance with Points & Cash reward nights for $70 + 5,000 points.

    Hopefully this is honored.

I actually had just spent three hours studying hotel rates in Berlin, Toronto, and Los Angeles for conferences I am attending in 2013.

In the past hour I booked 11 hotel nights at Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza and InterContinental Hotels for 55,000 points and $770. The published room rates for these 11 nights was about $3,000. That is a huge hotel savings for 2013 for my necessary travel.

$40 per 1,000 points redemption value is an incredible value for Priority Club Rewards points.

I think they are fixing everything now.
I was about to book one but then on checkout it changed price.
I went back and did the search again and it looks like it went back up to 50,000 points.

For a quick laugh The Clement is showing a $4.59 for a suite.
But when you go to book it moves up to $459.00

@FOX – I came across several low rate anomalies too while searching for Cash & Points awards. The low rates on the search page always went to regular rates when I clicked to book.

The Cash & Points rates for hotels at 5,000 points + $70 worked for many hotels.

Since Priority Club refused to post a list of new rewrd rates, there is no reason to suspect the low award rates at 15,000 points for hotels that were 35,000 and 40,000 points could be seen as reasonable changes compared to $4.59 suites at IC Clement, Monterey.
