Lufthansa is currently offering discount travel vouchers that can be redeemed on Lufthansa operated flights worldwide. Normally these voucher offers tend to be limited to Europe, but in this case the vouchers are available from most countries that Lufthansa serves.

The value of the vouchers vary slightly between countries and are denominated in local currencies. For example, someone in Europe requesting a voucher will get one for €20, someone booking travel from the USA will receive $40 and someone in Hong Kong will receive a voucher valued at HKD$450.

The voucher applies to the base or tariff fare and does not affect the taxes and fees for the ticket. The voucher can be redeemed for travel until 10 March. Travel must be completed by 10 June.

Please note that when you look at the terms and conditions, it may appear that the code is good until October, but Lufthansa uses the European format for dates: DD/MM/YYYY.

To request a voucher please use this link. Once providing Lufthansa with your name and email address, a voucher code will be immediately emailed to you and you can apply that code when booking travel on Lufthansa.com.

During the month of December, Lufthansa is holding a contest that will award 2 Economy Class tickets from the USA or Canada to Europe to a lucky winner who uses one of three Self-Check-In methods when flying Lufthansa this month. Please use this link to visit the Sweepstakes Entry Page so that you can register for the Promotion.

To be eligible for the drawing, you must:

1. Register for the Sweepstakes.
2. Be a resident of the USA or Canada (except Puerto Rico or Quebec).
3. Be flying on Lufthansa this month.

Once registered, all you need to do is to check in for your Lufthansa flight either through Online Check-In, Mobile Check-In, or at a Self-Serve Kiosk.

In reading the terms/conditions, I noticed a strange disclosure that indicates that if the winner is from Canada, they will need to answer a “skill question” via email in order to be to receive the Grand Prize. I’m not sure what that means exactly, but it is something that will affect the winner if they’re Canadian.

The contest ends at 5:00p (EST) on December 31, 2012. The Winner must complete travel by November 30, 2013.

To celebrate the Holidays, beginning on December 1 Lufthansa will launch their “Christmas List” contest on their Facebook page that will give away 13 fantastic prizes.

The contest will require visiting their Facebook site each day in order to complete a “Christmas List”. The list will actually be a jig-saw puzzle that will be assembled through pieces that are earned for each visit. The prizes themselves will comprise the jigsaw puzzles so when you complete a puzzle you will be entered to win that prize.

The difficulty of the puzzle will depend on the value of the gift. The higher the value of the gift, the more complex the puzzle.

Each person will be given one Christmas List and can earn an additional 3 Christmas Lists by inviting their “Facebook Friends” to join the contest. The objective there is to obviously earn more entries by referring others to the contest.

Information at the moment is limited, and the contest is not yet published on their Facebook page. The contest will run from December 1 to December 24 and based on the terms and conditions, will be open to everyone regardless of country of residence.

Lufthansa is currently running a Sweepstakes on their Facebook page that will award 3 lucky winners each with 30,000 miles for their ‘Miles & More’ Accounts.

To enter, you need to visit Lufthansa’s Facebook page, and “Like It”. Once you do that, click on the “App Around The World” application tab to be taken to the contest’s entry page. Or you can simply click here to be taken directly to the contest’s page. Just make sure that you first “LIKE” Lufthansa’s Facebook page.

Once you’ve reached the contest page, you’ll need to complete 4 puzzles in order to complete a Japan themed phrase (think of it like Wheel of Fortune). The puzzles are not the easiest, but manageable within a few minutes. With each successful completion of a puzzle, you’ll gain the letters you need to complete the phrase which will be your entry into the contest.

The contest is open to ‘US Residents Only’ which is rare. Normally, most Lufthansa contests are not available to those of us in the USA.

Lufthansa has partnered with skin care giant NIVEA for a new contest that will award 3 lucky people an opportunity to visit a loved one. The contest, called “Love & Care”, is being held on their Facebook Page (click the link to be taken there to enter).

To enter, you simply need to share your story about a long distance relationship. The relationship can be a long distance romance, a friendship separated by distance or a relationship with a relative separated by distance. To be eligible, the significant other, friend or relative as well as the contest entrant must have a Facebook account. When you go to enter, you’ll need to select that person from a list of your Facebook Friends. You’ll also be asked to provide the Cities/Countries where you both reside, as well as how long you have known each other. Additionally, you’ll need to share a photo showing both of you and a brief description of the nature of your relationship.

For your efforts (should only take 2 minutes!), you’ll be entered to win 1 of 3 Lufthansa tickets that will be given away. The ticket will be good for a round trip to take you to the city of your friend, relative or significant other. If you are a German resident, you’ll also have a chance to win 1 of 500 NIVEA Skin Care Travel Packs.

The contest started on 1 November and will continue until 28 November. Winners of the Lufthansa ticket will have until 31 December 2013 to complete their travels.

Additionally, this contest is open to most residents of Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Residents of the Americas and Asia are not eligible to participate.

Lufthansa has a Sweepstakes that is ending on October 14 that will award one Lucky Winner 80,000 Miles & More Miles. That’s enough miles for one economy round-trip ticket between Asia and Europe, or a great head start to having enough miles for a Business or First Class ticket. Either way an opportunity to win 80,000 miles should not be passed up!

The Sweepstakes is limited to residents of China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Australia and India.

The contest is open to those who do not yet have a Miles & More account and involves opening a new account. The winner will be contacted via email as soon as October 19.

Just because the Olympic Games have ended, it does not mean that the celebration can’t continue for at least a little longer!
