In quite possibly the only cool thing an airline has ever done (OK, I’m kidding a little but I do love this), Delta Air Lines has announced a new addition to 2 of its most important Sky Club lounges. Delta will soon introduce Sky Deck terraces at its Atlanta Concourse F and JFK Terminal 4 Sky Clubs. Opening in New York in May, and Atlanta this summer, the Sky Deck terraces will offer an outdoor space with views of airport operations. The JFK Sky Deck will be a rooftop location, while the Atlanta location will be adjacent to its Concourse F Sky Club according to Delta.

I love the idea and can’t wait to visit this summer! Well, summer in Georgia….maybe I’ll wait until fall, but I still love the idea!

  1. The ATL one should be reasonable for the early morning flights during the summer ;)

  2. Nice
I can smell the scent of jet fuel outdoors as I type :)

  3. Mmmmmm….. I love the smell of jet fuel! :)

  4. All I can think about is won’t it be super loud from jets?

  5. Depends on the acoustics of the location. I almost mentioned the possible noise issues in my post, but elected not to. As someone who grew up at the airport, I love jet noise…..as long as I have ear plugs. :)

  6. I don’t think you will suffer too much from the jet noise. I often stand in the park under the approach end of Rwy 4 at LGA and it’s not too bad. Now 30 years ago was a different story :) . Still an awesome idea though!
