Wanted to pass along the good news that the registration for the Frequent Traveler University is now open.  Here are the details as posted by Pizzaman on Milepoint.

We’re going to be moving to a more permanent system, but we understand that people need to make plane reservations and cement plans. So, we have a link set up for registration right now before we move to our new system. More detailed info coming, but here’s what we know for sure:

Where: Sheraton Meadowlands

When: Saturday, April 28th and Sunday April 29th with a cocktail reception on Friday the 27th for those staying at Sheraton Meadowlands.

What’s Included: General session and lunch on both Saturday and Sunday, 9am-4pm.

Price: $99

Rooms: $129 a night, single or double occupancy

The hotel link is not yet live, but it should be shortly and I will update this post accordingly when it does go live.

Update: The hotel booking link is now live!

What is the Frequent Traveler University?

If you aren’t quite sure what the Frequent Traveler University is, here is some info also taken directly from Milepoint that should give you a general idea of what the FTU is all about.

  • Complimentary cocktail party on Friday night sponsored by milepoint.com

  • On Sunday, interact with the largest frequent flyer and hotel programs in the world, including Mileage Plus, AAdvantage, SPG and Hyatt Gold Passport.

On the panel you will find Brian Kelly (The Points Guy) Gary Leff (View From the Wing) and Randy Petersen.
  • Complimentary, exclusive access to the 23rd Freddie Awards on April 26th will be raffled off for those attending. That’s right! 15 spots to this years prestigious awards will be drawn on March 1st, the only thing you have to do, is sign up for the FT University before this day. The Freddie Awards are not open to the public, this will be one of very few chances to get access!

You will find me and many others blogger types and miles and points enthusiasts at the FTU.  Don’t get left out – register soon if you want to join in the fun.  Let me know if you have any questions or if you plan to attend.

    @Karlyn, yay!

@Lindsay, good luck with the exam and hope to see you next year.

@sil, I’m not sure I am the best one to answer that since this will be my first FTU. Both will offer quality speakers on a variety of topics, but there will be some different speakers/topics at each. Maybe wait until the FTU schedule is out before deciding? Perhaps that will help. I think a draft of the Chicago Seminar schedule is already out.

@Singapore Flyer, sorry it is not in a convenient spot for you. Hope to see you if you decide to go.

@Vikas, no problem and happy to hear you are going!

@arjun, ha ha. Love it. ;) Hope your GF comes. I hear there will be newbie geared sessions and more advanced sessions as well.
