Update: While this is reported to be working, I am concerned from the report in the comments from Noob Traveler that his packet from SW said that credit card sign-up bonuses don’t count toward Companion Pass.  If that is the case, then perhaps the time for this awesome deal has ended (or will be in the very near future).  I would say proceed with caution. Choice Hotels was recently added as an American Express transfer partner.  Presumably to get people interested in transferring their Amex Membership Rewards points to the Choice Program, they are offering a 50% transfer bonus through November 6th.  With the 50% bonus, 1,000 Membership Reward points becomes 1,500 Choice Hotel points.  It’s still not the best deal ever since you can routinely buy 1,000 Choice points directly from Choice for only… Read the Rest.
