I’m a bit of a reluctant participant in the world of prepaids. I always have been, and at this point I presume I always will be. I don’t like the hassle of getting them, I don’t like keeping up with them, I don’t like being looked at like I’m a degenerate or up to something sneaky when I’m rummaging around the gift card rack, I don’t like Walmart, and I… Read the Rest.

It was a bad day in the miles and points world when Office Depot abruptly stopped selling Vanilla Reload cards. Looks like this weekend is shaping up to be another bad one as there seems to be truth to the rumor that Office Depot is going to stop carrying gift cards with a variable amount. This was first reported on this Flyertalk thread. Of course I bee-lined to my own… Read the Rest.

I was less than impressed with this start down the road of “earning 5x Ultimate Reward points on everything”, but I wasn’t quite ready to give up because a) I had money tied up in the deal so I… Read the Rest.
