US Airways 50% Hotel Bonus Points Posting

Over the weekend I received messages letting me know that the bonus miles via the recent US Airways 50% hotel point transfer bonus were posting.  Today I checked my own US Airways account and saw that my 50% bonus on transferred Wyndham Reward points has indeed posted! I had obtained those Wyndham Reward points very cheaply via the 2012 Daily Getaways promotion (which is returning next month), so in the… Read the Rest.

What to do if you Lose Your US Airways Companion Pass Coupon

It’s looking like I might be heading to a mini family reunion in the mountains of North Carolina this summer for a long weekend.  I met up with these same cousins in the Outer Banks last year, and the places under serious consideration this year are all within driving distance of Charlotte – a US Airways hub.  Flights seem to be in the $350 – 400ish range, so not quite… Read the Rest.

Houston – Boston Round Trip on US Airways in June for $152 all-in

Update: As expected, the fare didn’t last long.  Wish it would have hung around a tad longer, but not this time.  Best anyone is seeing now is in the $240ish range (which isn’t bad if you were planning on going to Boston anyway).  Living in Houston (a United hub), we rarely see really great fares on Star Alliance partners.  Often if I see a tremendous deal on airfare on a… Read the Rest.

European Trip Review: United BusinessFirst London to Houston

The morning of our scheduled return from London, we were awoken early by my husband’s phone regularly going off with a warning that our booked US Airways Envoy Suites award flight was delayed…and delayed more…and then delayed even more. It was pre-dawn when we realized we would mis-connect in Charlotte due to the delay. I tried calling US Airways to make sure we had proactively been put on the next… Read the Rest.

Good 2014 Europe Off-Peak Availability Via US Airways (30K Miles RT)

One of my favorite airline redemptions so far was my US Airways Envoy Suites business class round trip ticket to Europe earlier this year. It rang it at just 55,000 US Airways miles for roundtrip off-peak business class seats to Europe. It was a great value for a great flight.  Sadly US Airways has since removed the option for off-peak business class flights to Europe, but they have retained that… Read the Rest.

My Experience Transferring Wyndham Points to US Airways With 50% Bonus

A couple of weeks ago I shared the news that US Airways was again offering a popular promo that offers a 50% bonus when transferring hotel points in from select hotel partners, including Wyndham Rewards.  Since the transfer ratio from Wyndham Rewards is actually pretty good with the bonus, I transferred some of my own points both because it was a good deal, and to test out a couple of… Read the Rest.

No Joke, Three US Airways Miles Promos Released Today

US Airways is starting off the month with three different promos: First, they are offering a 50% bonus on gifted/transferred miles.  In other words, if you gift 10,000 US Airways miles to a family member, they will receive 15,000 miles instead of just 10,000.  This sounds great, but remember all the costs involved with transferring US Airways miles.  From their website, “Miles are shared for $0.01 per mile plus a… Read the Rest.

US Airways Club Sign-up Gives 5,000 Preferred Qualifying Miles

I think airline lounges can be quite useful for families (or individuals) who travel frequently.  I am personally very partial to those clubs that have “family rooms” so that your kiddos can play in a safe and confined area at the airport without you having to constantly tell them to come back, watch out, don’t touch that, etc.  As far as I know US Airways Clubs don’t have family rooms… Read the Rest.

European Trip Review: US Airways Envoy Suites to London

European trip to London and Dublin: Planning US Airways Envoy Suites to London (this post) For our much anticipated trip to London and Dublin we were flying US Airways from Houston to Charlotte and then from Charlotte on to London Gatwick. Because we had booked an off-peak Envoy suites award to Europe for 55,000 points (no longer available at that low level), we were also in domestic first class from… Read the Rest.
