I’ve been earning miles through online shopping portals for a long time now, and even though I don’t earn a lot this way, it’s a great way to collect a few miles here and there as well as keep your account from expiring. If you’re new to the American Airlines mall, now is the time to join.
You’ll earn 100 American Airlines miles simply for joining their mall by February 3 and subscribing to marketing emails. You can earn an additional 300 miles for making a purchase of any amount by February 3 and yet another 600 miles if you make a second purchase ($100+).
This promotion, and the mall itself, is powered by Cartera Commerce, which is notorious for not posting points accurately, so I’d plan on taking screenshots and keeping records in case your points don’t post automatically within ten weeks of the end of the promotional period.
Unfortunately, it appears that anyone who has already joined their shopping program is not eligible for this bonus.

Avoid Cartera. Even with proof, an email from the order stating how many miles I earned for the purchase, catera denied me the miles saying it was the other companies fault. Strange that their emails says I’m owned miles and only Cartera says I’m not. Avoid at all costs!!
