GEORGETOWN, Guyana — Guyanese authorities say a first-class airline passenger was so angry at seeing economy passengers leave a jetliner before him that he yanked open an emergency hatch and slid down the chute.

I saw this story on the news a few minutes ago, and this was the only source I could find. Now this is a novel idea if I’ve ever seen one. Obviously some serious alcohol was involved. Some quick searching reveals that this was a 757, and I’m guessing they were deplaning via door 2L, in which case coach passengers are naturally among the first out, since they’re right by the door.
I gotta say, I’d love to see this one on YouTube. I also wonder which door he evacuated through. I’m guessing 1L or 1R, since he was probably seated in the front of first class and peeved at the long wait as a result.
Very funny and very sad at the same time.

Not so funny for the DL employees who had to somehow find a new slide down there! Yikes.
Having just deplaned a UA 757 (seat 3D), it really didn’t take that long since the F cabin isn’t super huge.
I assume this guy will have to find a boat for the way home.
