Once in a while I get a bit sick of the current state of the industry, and just want to talk about other stuff, mostly the positive stuff that I love about travel. In addition, sometimes I find myself twiddling my thumbs wondering what to blog about, because let’s face it, sometimes the news just isn’t there (unless we want to talk about aviation in some country I’ve never heard of). Heck, nowadays I’m happy to see no new news, since we know that basically all news is bad news.
As a result I’ve decided to start a new “series,” much like the “photo contest” I post every Friday. This one won’t be as predictable as the photo contest, but I’ll try to post at least a few every month. I’m calling it “Lucky’s Favorites,” and as the name suggests, I’ll be posting about my favorites of many things related to travel– airport lounges, hotels, airports, obscure cities, etc. I’ll stay away from posting about how great Hong Kong or Sydney are because we’ve all heard that before. That’s not to say I won’t post about a great hotel in Sydney or a great lounge in Hong Kong though.
I’ll try to keep the words to a minimum and pictures to a maximum, so that it’s not a chore to read. I’ve written trip reports in the past, and that’s not the purpose of this.
So I just wanted to provide some background before posting my first one, and I hope everyone enjoys! Any advice, comments, or questions are appreciated.
