I’ve been eyeing this property for a while, since I’m always up for checking out new properties and earning lots of points (especially during the fourth quarter promotion). Well, in this case the InterContinental Chicago O’Hare is available for $99/night over weekends between October 17 and December 17. Full details can be found here.
Best of all, you can book directly on priorityclub.com and earn full points and stay credits!
(Hat tip to my friend David for pointing this out)

Hi Lucky,
Nice review. I really have to consider my dedication to the SPG and HH programs. Intercontinental looks wonderful. Do all PC stays help with RA qualification, or is it just IC stays?
Also, you never wrote about your standby experience on the day of departure. I have a question in general: are you able to turn multi-segement itineraries into a non-stop at the airport?

Hey David,
Once you sign up for Ambassador, all Priority Club stays count towards RA qualification. So technically you could earn Royal Ambassador by spending 50 or so nights at Holiday Inn Express properties.
As for standby, at least at UA you can definitely standby for a nonstop when you booked a multi-stop flight, at least at the airport.

Do the stays start counting from the time you sign up? or for the year you signed up in? Example, someone signs up today and has 80 stays earlier this year but is a PC member but not Ambassador?

Douglas, as far as I know it only counts once you sign up for Ambassador, since you have the extent of your Ambassador membership year to qualify, and not necessarily the calendar year as far as I know. That being said, you probably know better than I do.
