The Transportation Security Administration will likely relax the restrictions on carrying liquids through airport security screening checkpoints in a year, TSA Chief Kip Hawley said in an interview.
“I think realistically in one year we, the TSA and foreign colleagues, will be a position” to relax liquids restrictions,” Hawley told the Middle Seat Thursday. “We are within a year of having the ability to differentiate threat liquids through the screening process.”
Bring it on! Do I for a second believe it’ll be simple and consistent? Nah! Would I love to see this happen? You betcha!

US security remains a joke. Fly through LHR, leave the laptop in the bag now, etc, so much easier! Heard that was supposed to change in the US, flying weekly, no change.
Cannot wait to leave the liquids in the bag, phew!
Imagine a day when X-ray machines can actually be trusted to, you know, X-ray stuff.
Yikes, dangerous carry-on snowglobes will be rampant.
