Just called UA Reservations to rebook a PIA (Peoria)-BKK saver ticket for my uncle. Reservations said that I had to go online to book and then cancel the original ticket.

The “price” reduction is great, but what has UA done with inventory during the “discount” window???

A price reduction on something you can’t buy is not too useful.

where are you finding this info? I’ve got an award ticket in Y booked for August that i booked a few weeks ago, so you acturally think i can call UA up and get them to rebook it, and save 20% of the miles?
