Well, there’s going to be a new “reality” show on the CW entitled “Fly Girls,” which will be about the lives of Virgin America flight attendants. I couldn’t help but chuckle at this:
“This show is about real, down-to-earth young women who happen to have landed in an exceptionally glamorous, high-flying career filled with exotic locations and handsome strangers,” said Kristen Vadas, Senior Vice President, Alternative Programming, The CW. “We’re thrilled to be working with Virgin America for this unique peek into a whirlwind lifestyle that shows how tough it is to be grounded when you work 35,000 feet in the air.”
Glamorous jobs? Exotic locations? Handsome strangers? All this about the US airline industry of 2009?

I dunno… maybe the typical CW audience would consider San Francisco an exotic location? It’s one of those channels that I never watch, so I wouldn’t really know what their target audience is.

Aaaaand here’s more proof that most “reality” shows aren’t actually… well, real.

Now this is where the airlines have it all wrong. Wh is it that the best lookin young female flight attendants are banished to regional while seniority gives away the international routes. Seniority is just wrong, put the young good looking FAs on international duty and let young ones fly international. Then this show may have a factual basis.
