As if earning 5,500 United miles per Hyatt stay wasn’t generous enough, there’s now also a promotion for 2,500 bonus miles for every two Hyatt stays (registration required). That means as a United 1K you’re earning 6,750 miles per stay, which is insanely good. Unfortunately this promotion is not combinable with Faster Free Nights, which starting on October 1 is probably a better value if you have good use for free nights between now and next March.

    @Bikeguy – it’s 500 base + 5000 1`K bonus + 1250 (half of the 2500 per two stays) UA Bonus. THat comes out to 6750

    Hyatt is awesome. Don’t believe me? Stay at any Hyatt Place (category 1 on the Hyatt award chart) where you will get 42″ flatscreen HDTV, free wireless internet, free breakfast, sectional sofa, wetbar/fridge even with no status. That’s the “bottom of the barrell” for Hyatt. Now compare that to category 1 anywhere else and you’ll see what I mean. Not bad for a $63 mattress run, eh? Then redeem your huge mass of points you’ve earned for a category 4 property that is on par with almost anything anyone else has.

    Do you earn 6,750 Hyatt points or 6,750 United miles?

    Its hard for me to get excited about Hyatt when I read reports like this:

    How do you know if we can’t combine the 2500 bonus points with Faster Free Nights?

    I just got off the phone with customer service and they told me that I could not combine the 3,000 bonus points with the 1K miles but I could still do the free night for every two stays and get the miles. Let’s see….6,750 miles + free nights + $20 gift card = One of the best Hyatt promos yet!
