It has been a while since I’ve changed the poll question over on the right side of the blog, so I figured it’s about time. The question is:
Do you think one of the US legacies will offer a double elite qualifying miles promotion in the first half of 2010?

Does anyone notice that the cost of airfare has, on average, gone up over the past month or two? I’m comparing routes I normally fly, such as mid-east coast to ORD, or LAX-JFK. Also many of the smaller RJ-served routes seem to have jumped……..

@ Yawn — Have noticed that as well and am about to make a post about that. Fares are INSANE and loads are so high. Guess the capacity reductions were worth something to the airlines.

Check out CO EWR-LHR at the end of the month. Highest I’ve seen in recent memory.
It is actually a lot cheaper for me to fly UA EWR-IAD, stop, over-night near IAD then IAD-LHR (I really like the morning/daytime flights).
As for the poll, had you asked about second half I would have said yes, and 4th qtr definitely yes.

Fingers crossed for June 1 – August 31.
Probably the least likely period of the year but dammit that’s when I’m traveling.
