Exactly a week after removing the feature, United has announced today that they’ll be bringing back “Expert Mode” on an opt-in basis in the next two weeks. This is the first change I’ve seen in a long time where literally everyone was angry and disagreed with the move, so it’s nice to see an airline listen to customers… for once. Kudos, United. If the issue with “Expert Mode” was that it confused the masses, I have to wonder why they didn’t just go with the opt-in idea to begin with.
