Several weeks ago I shared the details of Starwood’s first quarter 2013 promotion, “Power Up.” The promotion will run from January 15 through April 15, 2013, and they’re offering 2,000 bonus Starpoints for every four eligible nights, up to a maximum of 8,000 Starpoints. Then they’re offering an additional 10,000 Starpoints if you complete 20 eligible nights during the promotion period, for a total of 18,000 Starpoints after 20 nights.

The promotion isn’t especially compelling if you don’t plan on doing 20 nights during the promotion period, given that you’re earning 500 Starpoints per night at best. Even if you complete 20 nights that’s a 900 Starpoint bonus per night, which is good though not great.

Anyway, registration for this promotion is now open through February 28, and I always recommend registering sooner rather than later so you don’t forget.

As usual with these promotions, while you can earn stay credits for award stays, only paid stays are eligible towards this promotion.

Do ‘Cash & Points’ stays count for this promotion?

@ R B, Cash & Points stays do not count. Someone asked on FT and Starwood Lurker said only paid stays. Ugh…since some cash & points I still need to pay $150 plus 8000 points.
