As I set foot on top of the pass, Lance Armstrong did too (Aug 21/12), coming from the other side. This is between two great places with character, both known, one internationally, and worth a visit.

As a local to the area, I believe Joseph and Emman are correct and it is West Maroon Pass between Aspen, CO and Crested Butte, CO. Along with Lance Armstrong, I’ve hiked this route on more than one occasion.
