American is offering bonus miles to select AAdvantage members for subscribing to their email lists. The promotion is called “The Appraiser,” and if you’re actually eligible, be ready for what can only be described as the cheesiest promotion ever.

Unfortunately the promotion seems to be targetted only at people that don’t currently subscribe to their emails, and based on the reports I’ve seen, unsubscribing and then trying to participate doesn’t work. No one in my family except my mother was eligible, and she earned 3,000 miles for the promotion. Let’s hope they post.

Anyway, it only takes a few seconds, so check if you’re eligible by entering your AAdvantage number here.

Good luck!

Between June 30 and September 7, Delta is offering 1,000 SkyMiles for using their mobile app to check-in for your flight. Registration is required.

Yes, the same hotel that gave you 500 SPG points just for liking them on Facebook is back with another cool promotion, as follows:

Let us send you on a Summer Vacation! WIN 1,000 SPG points and use them at Starwood Properties Worldwide! Post a picture of your favorite summer memory and get 50 friends to LIKE your picture. Once you get to 50 LIKES you will be awarded 1,000 points! BONUS – the photo with the MOST overall LIKES (over 50+) will win an additional 5,000 points! Contest ends July 11th. Where will you take your next vacation?!

So submit a picture on the Westin Charlotte’s Facebook page, and if you get 50 likes you get 1,000 SPG points.

I just posted a picture from New Zealand a few summers back, so if anyone wants to “like it,” I certainly won’t hold it against you (and I’ll be happy to “like” your picture in return). Let’s work together here and earn some SPG points!

Via Gary, through June 30 Fairmont is offering 500 Aeroplan miles to new and existing members of President’s Club that opt-in for email communications.

Via Milepoint:

No stay required. Member must enroll with Enrollment Code PASHN or update profile with Promotion Code PASSION and opt-in for communications by June 30, 2011.

The 500 bonus miles will only be rewarded if you opt-in to receive communications from Fairmont President’s Club.

You have to enter your Aeroplan number on the “Airline Partner Programs” tab on the enrollment page, which is kind of hidden (you have to expand it). If you’re already a member, simply go to your profile and update your “Airline Partner Programs” with your Aeroplan information.

Per Gary, registering at HomeHardware.ca earns 100 free Aeroplan points.

Through August 31, Frontier is offering 1,000 points to new members of their Early Returns program. Through points.com, this can be converted into the following number of points/miles:

  • 184 US Airways miles
  • 297 Priority Club points
  • 138 Delta miles
  • 148 Aeroplan miles
  • 153 Continental miles
  • 153 American miles

Once you sign-up just go to points.com and register for an account if you don’t have one already. Register the Frontier program and the program you plan on transferring the points to, and then click “exchange.” The points should post within a couple of days.

Ultimately we’re looking at about $3 worth of miles at most, so it may well not be worth your time. Then again, if it can extend the expiration of an account or get you over the next hurdle for an award/threshold, it may well be worth it.

As part of their “30 Deals in 30 Days” promotion, American is offering 1,000 miles to existing AAdvantage Citi cardmembers that register here. Simply follow the link and click on “Already a Citi/AAdvantage Cardmember? Click Here.” If you’re eligible, the 1,000 bonus miles will post to your account by June 15.

Through July 31, 2011, Starwood is offering 250 Starwood points per Foursquare check-in in conjunction with a confirmed reservation at a Starwood hotel. Registration is required. For full details on how to connect your Starwood and Foursquare account, see this link.

As I blogged about a couple of days ago, US Airways had sent out emails offering people 1,000 free miles, only to follow up a week later and say it was a mistake. Per The Points Guy, it appears that US Airways is now honoring the deal, but only if you call them to request the points. Simply call them at 800.428.4322, press 3, and speak to someone at Dividend Miles. It takes a couple of minutes, but the points will be posted to your account instantly.

Kudos to US Airways on this, though I think it was the only right thing to do.

American is offering AAdvantage members that sign up for an eShopping account 500 bonus miles. Plus, if you watch the eShopping demo video by May 13, you can earn an additional 500 AAdvantage miles.
