The anchor quipped that the other passengers probably clapped after him getting the boot. The article mentions their scheduled arrival was 3:30pm, but did not arrive until 12:22am. 1000 phone calls home to the wife updating her as to when I would be home for dinner, when to put saran wrap over my dinner, and when to throw my dinner out would not have been a clapping moment for me.
