JetBlue has a pretty good sale to St. Maarten and Puerto Plata for travel in the new year. Seats are available for just $99 when you fly between January 8th and February 13th.

That is an outstanding winter fare for those markets, especially St. Maarten. It’s not surprising that the upstarts are seeing good opportunities in the Caribbean and Central America, where fares are very high on a per-mile basis.
