United Changes Plans to Drop Food on Europe Trips
September 03 2008
Good news for all of you who love airline food, United has changed its mind after hearing consumer complaints and it will not charge for food on trips to Europe. It also has decided to offer hot meals (not just cold food) on those trips (to quote Mr. Burns, “let them have their TarTar sauce…”).
I actually can’t think of another time when an airline has responded to consumer whining in a positive way (is offering airline food a positive thing?) If you have an example of that, I’d like to hear it…

Another case: United reversing its change on expiring e500s by giving US elites (1P and up) the opportunity to register to keep the conversion to 500 miles going.
