Oyster.com has compiled a list of five common hotel health traps which were published in Shape magazine late last week. I’ve never really worried about any of the listed “traps” besides bathroom mold, though I guess the use of heavy duty chemical cleaning products is something to consider (luckily several major hotel brands obtain LEED certification for their new properties).  More interesting to me was the company that compiled the list. Oyster.com homepage notes that “our special investigators visit, photograph, review and rate each hotel. We uncover the truth, before it’s “uh-oh” time.”

This list is kinda lame. You could make this list about public restrooms, public transportation, or staying at a relative’s house. I thought they would mention things like touch the remote control or door handles. If you have a good immune system and wash your hands sometimes, you should be fine.

Thanks goodness. I was afraid the cinnamon rolls at HIX would kill me first :)
